Over the years it’s become clear there’s a few key factors that impact the success of a meal plan.
> Ease of use
> Accessibility of ingredients
> Truely tasty food
One of the best ways to hit these points, is by using real ingredients. Eating real food over processed is one simple thing we can all do to improve our health. Food that’s readily available in large or small supermarkets.
Whether it’s animal or plant based foods, real ingredients will provide a source of vitamins, minerals, fibre, antioxidants and a host of other nutrients. Things that are so often missing from many pre-packaged foods. It’s also much easier to control sugar and salt intake when you know exactly what’s going into a meal.
Long term it proves more cost effective. There’s less waste when you buy only what you need. For example avoiding pre-packaged sauces and dressings saves money. Once people see how easy it is to make their own, they wonder why they every bought them!
It’s great when you see people empowered to get in the kitchen and make delicious food themselves. Once they know what healthy looks like - and how straight forward it can be - cooking is a no brainer.
