Customisable Nutrition for Your Clients
One of the most requested features we’ve had has been the ability to create custom macro meal plans and we’re excited to announce that this feature is now ready to roll out!
We recognise that some clients have more specific, performance-driven goals that require a different approach.
That’s where custom macro meal plans come in.
What Are Macro Meal Plans?
Unlike our standard meal plans, which offer a more general approach to healthy eating, macro meal plans allow trainers to customise the precise balance of macronutrients—proteins, fats, and carbohydrates—based on the specific goals and needs of the athlete.
This capability is especially valuable for competitive athletes, bodybuilders, and those undergoing rigorous training programs. These individuals often require unique macronutrient ratios to enhance performance, meet competition standards, or adjust nutrition as they progress through different training phases.
What Makes Macro Meal Plans Different?
While the majority of clients will still benefit from the balanced and sustainable approach of our Lifestyle Plan, we believe that these custom macro plans will provide a game-changing tool for athletes. By addressing their unique nutritional needs, we can better support their performance, recovery, and overall success.
The most significant difference between our standard meal plans and macro meal plans is the level of customisation.
How to implement a Macro Meal Plan
First, go to your admin platform, then edit a member from your member list.Then, scroll down to their plan details.
Plan Type:
There are now three choices here. Choose Custom Macro Plan from the drop down. A bar showing Protein, Fats & Carbs will appear. Simply move the sliders to select the appropriate macro split for your client.
Main Meals Per Day:
Here you’ll find a drop down giving your client two choices for how many main meals they have per day. Either 3 including breakfast or 4 including breakfast. Select your preference.
Set Recipe Limit Per Plan:
By ticking this box you will limit the maximum amount of recipes that will appear in your client’s meal plan each week. This is particularly useful for clients who struggle allocating time to cooking. These clients may prefer to batch cook meals or have a meal prep day. Note, your members can also change this in the settings of their app.
Recipe Limit Per Plan
The lower the number, the less variation the client will have in their week’s meals, however the meal prep will be easier with a lower number. We suggest 6 is a good place to start.
Set Override Calories
You will see your client’s pre-calculated calorie target here (if the member has completed entering their details). You also have the ability to enter a calorie target of your choice within the box if you’d like to override this value.

Utilising these features gives trainers the flexibility to fine-tune the diet to support the athlete’s performance, whether they are in a bulking, cutting, or maintenance phase of their training.
